About
Lacey Johnson: YouTuber, Producer, “Keytar Kween”.
Lacey’s style has best been described as “Nerdy with a twist of pop punk”, “Bursting with energy” and has been “spreading the gospel of VGM (Video Game Music)” wherever she goes. Her passion for performance is captivating and it’s easy to see why so many people love her music.
Lacey is a Southern-California based Video Game Musician currently creating bi-weekly covers on her YouTube channel in which she is the sole musician, producer, and arranger. Armed with a Keytar and a formal Classical Music Education, Lacey prides herself on creating musically diverse arrangements of well-known video game music. Lacey’s biggest joys of YouTube are collaborating with other musicians all over the world and, in turn, creating an unbreakable connection of joy with video game fans everywhere. Lacey also streams live video game music performances and gaming on her Twitch Channel.
JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Games), Anime, and Pop Culture are all huge cornerstones in Lacey’s musical influences (Final Fantasy being her favorite game franchise and her reason for staying in classical piano lessons as a kid). She also draws inspiration from Classic Rock, K-Pop, Jazz, and Baroque music in her writing and performance style.
In 2020, Lacey released her first Cover EP titled “Limit Break”: A synth-rock mini-album dedicated to the music of Final Fantasy VII. In 2021, Lacey followed up with a Full-Length Physical Release Album titled “The Midnight Channel” with 10 tracks from the game, Persona 4. And in May of 2022, Lacey released her album “Next Mission” Dedicated to the music of the Metroid Franchise.
Recently, Lacey provided vocals for EVO Tournament 2022 in “We Are Who We Are” written by David Gibson McLean and Zaid Tabani for the game: Granblue Fantasy Versus and the song was placed in the Game: Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
